5 SaaSy Social Change Superheroes you Should Know!

Missy Longshore

Author: Missy Longshore | Company: Longshore Consulting

Do you want to change the world? As you may have heard, “it takes a village.” Meet 5 amazing members of the SaaSy world (Software as a Service) who are doing amazing social change work (and all happen to be Girlforce members). I recommend you follow them in the Power of Us Hub, read their blogs, ask them questions on Twitter, and learn from them at the Nonprofit CRM Summit. http://nonprofitcrmsummit.com/ That’s right, all these women and 16 other fantabulous people are speaking for free at the online only #NPOCRM Summit you’re invited to.

So what is the Summit and why should you follow these amazing Girlforcers?

Well, because I could never have gotten to where I am today, 20 years (gulp) into my social change career (my first internship, registering voters at Planned Parenthood clinics in Philadelphia, was in 1996!) without the help of amazing and supportive people along the way. People who have taken the time to answer my questions, teach me something new, and give me an encouraging word when I needed it.

That’s not to say I’ve always been great at the try, try again (then keep trying until something finally works) part of social change technology work I’ve fallen into, but knowing there are others out there dedicated to making a difference certainly makes it easer.

So I created the Summit, and everything I do at Longshore Consulting, to help you make as much social change as possible. I don’t want you to have to struggle in isolation like I did when I was first working on Salesforce in 2009.

So do yourself a favor and give these women a follow – see what they’re up to and ask them how they got to where they are!

And, grab a free ticket to the Nonprofit CRM Summit… it’s free and online only from August 1 – 12, 2016.

Stefanie Archer will blow your mind with her thinking about outcomes measurement in Salesforce – she talks about a data hierarchy of needs of sorts for nonprofits that I just love. She’s also a great trainer and fun to collaborate with. Stefanie can be found writing for this blog

Shonnah Hughes Headshot

Shonnah Hughes is a master trainer by background and it shows! If your Salesforce career needs invigorating, let Shonnah inspire you to start earning Trailhead badges! Shonnah is also an incredible community volunteer, user group leader, and co-chair of the amazing Women in Tech Diversity group (which you should join). Check out her blog and more at http://saasysistah.com/.

Michelle Regal reminds me that furry companions and formulas can also be friends in our journey – seriously! Michelle’s energy and enthusiasm is contagious as she brings her warmth and clear explanations to you. Check her out at http://www.thedevadmin.com/.

Joni Martin is not only our Girlforce founder, she’s also a friend. She is an advocate for, believer in, and curator of powerful communities to foster connection, healing, and collaboration. Her writing is transformational, honest, and vulnerable. For one of the cutest pictures I’ve ever seen (is that a baby llama?) check her out here: https://about.me/jonikmartin
